Your Notion database is where good ideas go to be beautifully formatted and never scoped. The page looks finished long before the thinking is.
What it does
- Set a page's status property to analyze, and the AI posts a repo-grounded breakdown on the page.
- Comment back with corrections, and it answers in the thread and adjusts.
- Move the status to build, and it opens a pull request.
- A signature-verified relay routes every Notion webhook event, so any database you point it at works.
What it will not do
It never edits your page properties, never rewrites your docs, and never merges anything. This one matters especially in Notion, where a well-meaning integration with write access can quietly reformat a page somebody spent an afternoon on.
Any database, not a fixed schema
The recipe does not assume a particular database shape. You tell it which status property to watch and which values mean analyze and build, and it works against the database you already have rather than one it asks you to create.
Setup takes about five minutes
Clone the repo, run ./setup.sh, pick Notion, and answer a few questions — your IDs, your tokens, your conventions. The installer copies the recipe into your repository, sets your secrets, and prints whatever manual steps are left with your real values already filled in. No server to host, no database to run, nothing to pay for beyond the AI you already use.
Honest status: beta. It is built and smoke-tested, and it carries a live-fire checklist in its README that I am working through one tool at a time. Real-world feedback on unusual database schemas is very welcome. If you hit an edge, open an issue — that is exactly what the beta label is asking for.
The recipe is MIT-licensed and open source: ai-automations. It is one of 35 — see the series overview for the full list and the rules every recipe follows. If your tool is not on the list, name it and I will build the automation for it, free.
